Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and facility systems. This role ensures minimal downtime, supports continuous production, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with safety and operational standards. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills are essential. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on industrial equipment. Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, sensors, pumps, valves, and other components. Perform maintenance on production machinery such as conveyors, presses, CNC machines, robotics, or other automated systems (based on facility). Read and interpret machine manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Perform lubrication, inspections, cleaning, and adjustments on machinery. Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify potential problems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and PM records. Electrical & Controls Support Troubleshoot electrical systems including 3-phase motors, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and control panels. Assist with small wiring tasks, replacing components, and verifying electrical circuits (if trained). Support controls technicians with troubleshooting or upgrades as needed. Facility Maintenance Assist with plant utilities such as HVAC, lighting, air compressors, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Perform basic welding, fabrication, or machining as required for repairs. Safety & Compliance Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards. Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and machine guarding policies. Report hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions
