Job Opening: Hydro Technician
Description
Key Responsibilities Hydrostatic Testing Set up and operate hydrostatic test benches, pumps, and pressure equipment. Perform pressure testing on cylinders, hoses, valves, pipes, and hydraulic components according to specifications. Record test results, pressure readings, and pass/fail outcomes accurately. Identify leaks, failures, or defects and communicate findings to supervisors or technicians. Hydraulic Equipment Support Assist with disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of hydraulic cylinders and components. Replace or install seals, O-rings, fittings, and other components as needed. Support troubleshooting of hydraulic systems under technician supervision. Maintenance & Shop Support Maintain testing equipment, pumps, gauges, and fixtures in proper working condition. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on hydrostatic test equipment. Keep the hydro shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Documentation & Reporting Complete all required test forms, labels, logs, and digital documentation. Tag components appropriately after testing (passed, failed, needs repair, etc.). Ensure accuracy of measurement data and test records. Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety procedures for pressure testing. Use proper PPE at all times, including face shields, gloves, and protective clothing. Report any unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or testing hazards immediately. Maintain safe distances and barriers during high-pressure testing.
