Tax Auditor
Location: Monroe, LA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $50,000+ based on experience
Key Responsibilities
• Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance
• Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation
• Conduct tax audits and identify discrepancies or areas of concern
• Prepare audit reports and supporting work papers
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
• Research tax laws and regulations as needed
• Assist with tax planning and compliance strategies
• Maintain accurate and organized client records
• Collaborate with accountants and firm leadership on audit engagements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1+ years of tax, audit, or public accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of tax laws and auditing principles
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Effective communication and client service skills
