Westaff is hiring an Accountant/CPA for a company located near Alexandria, LA
Pay: $85,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Tax accounting and/or real estate accounting experience preferred, but not required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Perform bank reconciliations and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Compliance & Tax Support: Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulatory requirements, and reporting obligations
- Property Operations: Oversee tenant billing, collaborate with property managers, and support banking and documentation requirements related to real estate acquisitions and dispositions
Additional Information:
- Prior experience with specific accounting systems is not required; training will be provided on internal platforms
- This role works closely with senior leadership, external partners, and financial institutions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
