Westaff Now Hiring Aerospace Quality Inspectors, Finishers/Polishers, & Production Workers in Portland, CT!
Shifts & Pay:
-
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 12:30 AM (Monday–Friday)

Pay Rate: $18–$26 per hour, based on experience and position
Open Positions:
Aerospace Quality Inspectors:
-
Perform detailed inspections on aerospace parts
-
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
-
Verify compliance with industry standards
-
Complete documentation and support continuous improvement
Finishers / Polishers:
-
Polish, sand, deburr, and finish metal components
-
Ensure high-quality surface appearance
-
Operate hand and power finishing tools
-
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Production Workers:
-
Assist with general manufacturing tasks
-
Operate basic machinery and follow work instructions
-
Perform assembly, packing, and material handling
-
Support efficient daily workflow
Grinder Machine Operators:
-
Set up and operate precision grinding machines
-
Read blueprints and follow technical instructions
-
Conduct measurements and in-process quality checks
-
Maintain machines and follow shop safety procedures
Requirements for All Roles:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-
Strong attention to detail and reliability
-
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
-
Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company
