Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineering & Process Improvement
-
Coordinate new and existing order setup from planning to final output.

Create and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions that align with customer and industry standards.

Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement Lean, data-driven improvements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and update SOPs and work instructions in accordance with ISO 9001.
Quality & Testing

Oversee material testing (tensile, charpy, chemical analysis) and ensure results meet specifications.

Validate mechanical and chemical properties for compliance with customer requirements.
-
Maintain accurate test records, heat codes, and quality documentation for full traceability.
Documentation, Reporting & CAD
-
Prepare travelers, MTRs, inspection packages, and other required documentation.
-
Create product-related CAD drawings for customer approvals and shop floor use.
-
Update production schedules, backlogs, and create summary reports as needed.
Inventory & Material Management
-
Manage inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in Shoptech or similar systems.
-
Monitor stock items and ensure adequate material availability for production.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Welding Engineering (or related field).

5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, with 3–5 years in metal or steel processing.

Proven experience in process engineering, quality control, and Lean methodologies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Access) and CAD software.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Highly detail-oriented and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with welding operations and ASME Sec. IX standards.

Knowledge of NDT techniques (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET).

Experience with equipment commissioning, installation, or major process improvement projects.
-
Familiarity with advanced statistical process control.
