Machine Operator for Immediate Start in Essex Junction, VT for Immediate Start!
Location: Essex Junction VT
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am Weekly Pay!
Pay Rate: $23.50/hour
We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will independently manufacture complex 3D parts from flat pieces of sheet metal for commercial ovens. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating our state-of-the-art machinery, forming a variety of high-quality parts from detailed drawings. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Operate CNC press brakes, following established procedures.
- Set up and tool the machine by installing, aligning, and locking specified punches and dies using precision gauges, templates, and hand tools.
- Load and verify programs, and make all necessary adjustments to achieve correct dimensions and angles on parts.
- Accurately form parts according to blueprint specifications.
- Perform quality checks on the first, middle, and last parts of a production run using precision measuring tools like calipers, protractors, and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with tooling or material to ensure efficient production.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and machine at all times.
- Willingness to assist other departments as directed.
Qualifications/Essential Functions:
- Adept at using small hand and power tools.
- Proficiently read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, including knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong knowledge of shop measurement techniques and precision measuring tools.
- Excellent paperwork, counting, and quality control skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as bending, sitting, and standing repeatedly.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate in a fast-paced, team-oriented department.
