Westaff is Hiring for a Manufacturing Manager in Berlin, CT!

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Pay rate: $80,000 – $90,000, depending on experience 

 

Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Manager (Plastic Injection Molding) will oversee and optimize daily production operations to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. This role is hands-on and collaborative, responsible for driving process improvements, leading production teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time, high-quality results.

 

Manufacturing Manager Responsibilities:

 

• Optimize the use of personnel, materials, and equipment to achieve production goals and schedules.

• Support technical operations on the floor, including tool setup, processing, and light maintenance.

• Meet or exceed targets for On-Time Delivery, Quality, and Efficiency while maintaining budget goals.

• Review and refine processes to ensure top-tier product quality and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Act as a hands-on leader, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop actionable implementation plans.

• Communicate with customers to provide progress updates and address project needs.

Manufacturing Manager Qualifications: 

 

• 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in plastic injection molding.

• Proven experience managing multiple shifts and 30+ machines in a production environment.

• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to train and develop team members.

• Proficiency with ERP systems (IQMS experience preferred).

• Track record of meeting key metrics including budget, OTD, quality, and efficiency.

• Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities (written & verbal).
