Pay: $25-30/hour DOE
Schedule: 30-34 hours/week
What You Will Do:
- Ensures that the Business Office completes all accounting and budgeting tasks in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with corporate policy and generally accepted accounting principles. Oversee all corporate accounting activities. Oversee corporate compliance with applicable State and federal personnel, payroll, and related laws, rules and regulations.
- Oversees the maintenance of accounting systems reporting structure. Directs the development of accounting and fiscal subsystems, policies, and procedures for Family Outreach. Assesses system effectiveness and directs system modifications.
- Oversees the development of budget proposals, formulates fiscal policies and procedures, prepares major budget documents, and presents budgets to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Management Team, and Service Managers.
- Oversees budget preparation and monitoring, as well as finalization of year-end accounting adjustments. Coordinates preparation for annual audits, ensures the accuracy of audit data, and implements audit recommendations as directed by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
- Leads strategic fundraising initiatives, manages donor relations, and optimizes revenue generation for the organization. This role involves developing and executing donor acquisition and retention strategies, overseeing fundraising campaigns, managing donor databases, and ensuring compliance with financial and reporting standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fundraising, business planning, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making to enhance donor engagement and long-term sustainability.
- Develops recommendations and action plans, answers questions, and provides reports and other information on financial, budgeting, personnel, and payroll to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Management Team, supervisors, auditors, and others.
- Participates in and/or leads in-house committees and work teams at the request of the Executive Director.
- Serve as Business Office representative at Management Team meetings and to external entities on an as-needed basis.
- Establishes objectives and approves strategies for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Family Outreach policies and procedures for Business Office operations.
- Directs procurement activities for the agency and inventories tracking systems.
- Oversees funding for maintenance of buildings and property for all offices and works with Service Managers to ensure all structures owned and operated by the corporation are properly maintained.
- Organizes and assigns work to accounting staff including oversight of accounting, payroll, benefit and related financial functions to ensure accurate and timely processing and reporting in compliance with policies, State and federal requirements, and professional accounting standards. Develops Business Office staffing levels and scheduling to address workload.
- Manages and supervises the Business Office staff and Information Technology staff. This involves recruiting and selecting, assigning and reviewing work, training, establishing performance standards, evaluating performance on an annual basis, providing technical assistance with corrective action planning, and recommending termination for cause when appropriate.
- Monitors and reviews financial reports with Accounting Specialist(s), and oversees the processing of employee pay and benefits in order to provide accurate and timely employee compensation in compliance with corporate policy as well as State and federal law.
- Coordinates and oversees daily administrative functions including overseeing centralized human resources functions (ADA, FMLA, training), ensuring corporate policy compliance, addressing and resolving human resources issues in coordination with the Management Team and Human Resources Specialist, providing quality control and assurance of human resources business processes (e.g., performance appraisal, training, payroll and benefits administration) to ensure consistency and compliance, and coordinating human resources initiatives as determined by the Executive Director.
What You Will Bring:
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (with upper-level accounting courses),
- And two years progressively responsible experience including personnel management, budgeting, accounting, and computer experience.
- A CPA and/or experience with Developmental Disabilities Programs are preferred.
- Valid MT driver’s license or the ability to obtain a license within one month of hire.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Successfully complete a background check.
- QuickBooks Online experience a plus
- Payroll and payroll reporting a plus
