IT Cisco VoIP Administrator – Hybrid Direct Hire
A growing IT Services team is looking for an experienced IT Cisco VOiP Administrator to join in a hybrid capacity. This role focuses on the ongoing configuration and support of a global Cisco Collaboration System, helping to provision and maintain the Cisco VoIP infrastructure. You’ll handle incidents, administer systems, and work closely with vendors to optimize performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Manage telephony incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.

Provide break/fix support for production IT systems.

Communicate effectively with business users and IT team members to resolve issues.

Proactively reduce support calls through strategic improvements.

Administer, maintain, and provide second-level support for Cisco Collaboration Suite, including Jabber, Unity Connection, Attendant Console, Communications Manager, UCCE, icPortal, Verint, and Unimax.

Troubleshoot, administer, and procure mobile devices (phones, Mi-Fis, tablets, etc.).

Assist with telephony and communication infrastructure upgrades.

Recommend solutions to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.

Perform planned system changes and upgrades with minimal business impact, including after-hours or weekend work.

Collaborate with the procurement team, vendors, and contractors on solutions, contracts, licensing, and more.

Develop and maintain technical installation, configuration, and support documentation.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours system support.

Maintain effective communication with business users and team members.

Travel globally as needed.
Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, a related major, or relevant CompTIA certifications.

Minimum 2 years of experience in network and telephony administration, ideally with Cisco VoIP/telephony carrier management.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Cisco Collaboration suite (CUCM, CUC, CER).

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently or within a team.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders, and handle hand tools.

Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%, including weekends and holidays.

Available for on-call, evening, and weekend work as needed.
Preferred Skills
-
Familiarity with UCCE, WFM/Verint, and VMware.

Understanding of networking and routing concepts.
