Now Hiring: Deburr Technician – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Wichita, KS
Shift:1st, 2nd, and Weekend Shifts Available!
Pay: $16-$18 (BOE)
Are you detail-oriented with experience in aerospace manufacturing? We are looking for a Deburr Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for removing burrs and excess material from machined and sheet metal parts using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools. If you have experience working in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop and are committed to precision and quality, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Read and interpret written work order instructions, blueprints, and specifications to determine appropriate tools for deburring operations
- Remove sharp edges and excess material from machined and sheet metal parts within specified tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments and tools to inspect deburring work and ensure the proper tolerances are maintained
- Meet production goals related to cycle time, quantity, and quality
- Take ownership of tasks and identify ways to improve processes
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop setting
- Experience with a variety of deburring tools
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and using hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety standards and PPE in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
