SUMMARY Operates and maintains multiple blow molding machines, vision systems, and laser dating systems in a safe manner to produce and audit PET containers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates multiple blow molding machines, laser dating systems, and vision systems using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface. Conducts quality inspections using specific written and visual guidelines. Ensures operations are completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastics’s safety procedures. Monitors operations of blow molding machine to detect machine malfunctions. Stops machines and production to report malfunctions to the process lead and/or supervisor. Performs minor adjustments to the machines to correct improper functions. Performs preventive maintenance on machines. Scans and consumes production tickets using computer interface. Accurately completes all logs, data input and written, to include hourly checks and downtime. Effectively communicates with all internal departments. Removes any damaged material from machine. Grinds defective PET containers. Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties. Perform multiple manufacturing related duties for the completion of product assembly. I. General Position Summary The Welder is responsible for welding metal components utilizing proper welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined production schedules. a. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities ? Build welded assemblies for products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards. ? Set-up, and lay out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and assemblies. ? Arrange parts for welding and staging processes. ? Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs. ? Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required. ? Operate and/or use related equipment and tools necessary to complete parts to specifications, which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, tape measure, etc. ? Diagnose process and quality issues, and make improvement recommendations to department manager. ? Reject defective parts and material according to policy. ? Ensure safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment. ? Participate in and attend cross functional meetings as required. ? Performs other duties as assigned by management. b.  SUMMARY – manages the flow of incoming raw materials from suppliers and outgoing finished goods to customers through steady communication with suppliers, customers and representatives throughout production process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintains an ergonomically and otherwise physically safe, well-organized and clean work environment in keeping with 5S standards • Practices safe work habits; follows safety procedures; wears required personal protective equipment and reports any unsafe incidents and conditions to supervisor 1. Communicates with customers to provide lead times for finished product availability; receives incoming orders from customers, creates sales orders by entering corresponding order information (quantity, specifications, due date, etc.) into Sage computer software; invoices customers for finished goods 2. Orders raw materials to fulfill customer requirements; creates purchase order and sends to supplier; documents receipt of raw materials into Sage computer program and production worksheets 3. Creates and maintains production schedule based on NSK, Denso and Aisin customer demand 4. Schedules freight carriers to ship incoming raw materials from suppliers and outgoing finished products to customers to ensure on-time delivery 5. Monitors daily customer shipments to ensure production schedule is met 6. Maintains communication with customers regarding order status and develops recovery plan, as needed, to accommodate customer 7. Enters actual daily production required to fulfill customer demand 8. Maintains communication with Production Management and Team Leaders regarding shipment requirements and order fulfillment 9.
