Staff Accountant

Pay: $20-$30 per/Hr depending on Experience

Hrs: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm/hours are flexible

Location: Morrisville

Description:

This position is responsible for providing a range of accounting services, including Realty, Site work and Trucking.

Functions:

• Maintains & updates accounting records

• Examines tax policies & handles tax payments and returns

• Meets w/department mgrs to discuss accounting/budgetary issues.

• Posts transactions in the general ledger

• Takes action to ensure entries are accurate and charged to the appropriate department and code.

• Reconciles credit card statements.

• Analyzes transactions with internal and external stakeholders

• Assists Controller, and other finance department staff in preparation for audits as directed. 

• Tracks, prepares and files compliance reports for assigned departments

• Sets up a wide range of CIP and EIP accounts in QuickBooks, including, new GL accounts.

• Communicates CIP information to team members in a timely manner.

• Establishes and sets up new GL codes/accounts for new property purchases.

• Manages company AT&T account

• Reviews leases/addendums for accuracy, and keeps up-to-date SRD tenant billing workbook.

• Processes new credit applications as needed.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Ability to interact with co-workers and members of the public in a courteous and professional manner required.

• Knowledge of and ability to apply standardized accounting practices required.

• Must be highly organized.

• Must possess excellent math skills.

• Exceptional organizational, administrative and follow-up skills required along with the ability to multi-task and bring individual issues to timely closure required.
