Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hr. (depends on experience)

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday

Job Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounts prior to initiating debtor contact by reviewing historical data and evaluating past collection efforts.
• Determine most effective and economical means of collection for each account.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Patient Care and Social Services Departments on Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMO, and self-pay patients to obtain pre-billing information and approvals, to collect documentation and update billing files.
• Provide financial counseling to resolve the debt situation, restructure payment terms within well-established limits and procedures as appropriate.

• 5 years' experience in billing and collections in healthcare organization
• Knowledge of 3^rd party payer systems & billing systems
• Experience with Medicare & Medicaid DDE, billing regulations and Medicaid eligibility
• Computer savvy, knowledge of clinical software
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluent English – written and verbal.
• Able to work independently.
