Westaff has an opening for a steel CNC Machinist in the New Britain CT Area!

Hourly Pay: $20-$35/hr

1st Shift, M-F

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform machine set-ups, clamping & properly operates CNC Machinery
• Ensuring part conformance to specifications and requirements with minimal supervision 
• Grinding, cutting & manual lathe turning steel products
• Program the machines to turn the outer diameter & inner diameter of the steel (ex: open the inner diameter from 7 inches to 8 inches)
• Working with horizontal & vertical turning lathes
• Placing proper tooling into machinery 
• Carefully read through blueprints

Job Requirements: 

• Must have Manual Turning Lathe experience!!!!!
• Must have at least 5 years experience as a CNC Machinist 
• 5+ years of set up, clamping, grinding & cutting experience
• Exceptional mechanical ability 
• Strong blueprint reading ability 
• Must be able to work with little supervision
