Westaff has an immediate opening in Windsor, CT for a CNC Machinist Pay: $20 or DOE
Pay: DOE
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri plus 12% Differential
3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:00am Sun-Thurs plus 17% Differential
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Perform set ups and operation of jobs, ensuring part conformance to specifications and requirements.
- Make necessary modifications or adjustments.
- Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
- Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages and Vernier's.
- Become familiar with Lean practices, 6S, and contributing to a continuous improvement environment
- Meet customer production scheduling requirements.
CNC Machinist Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience machining in an aerospace environment.
- 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC VTL Machinery.
- Familiarity with CNC VTLs, Fanuc and/or Okuma controls and manual turning; ability to run multiple machines and cross train on various operations/equipment.
- Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of GD&T.
- Willing to learn basic CNC Programming.
