Human Resources Assistant - Claremont, NH
$23-$25 hr. - D.O.E.
HR Assistant Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to employees and management by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
HR Assistant Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with the recruiting process, including development or updating of Job Descriptions, phone screening, interviewing, background checks
• Administer new employee onboarding, including I-9 compliance
• Serve as a point of contact for HR related inquiries, including benefits
• Maintain all employee files and/or electronic and in HRIS
• Assist in weekly payroll
• Coordinate benefit events and assist training events for our workforce
• Provide employee relations support
• Maintain a knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, STD, LTD
• Process all benefit related transactions in various systems and in HRIS
• Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews
• Assists Manager of HR with various projects
HR Assistant Qualification and Skills/Minimum Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent certification/HR experience
• Effective HR administration and people management skills
• Knowledge of labor law and employment equity regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Must be a team player, dedicated to quality and accuracy, and able to interact with diverse groups
• Strong computer skills with capability in email, MS Office, HRIS
