Technical Manager needed for Plastic Manufacturing Company in Shelton, CT

Hours: 6am to 3pm

Pay: 84k-114k

Monday to Friday

Technical Manager Responsibilities Include: 

• Managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the staff
• Responsible for the setup, maintenance and repair of the thermoforming equipment and peripheral manufacturing equipment
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees
• Addresses complaints and resolves problems 
• Ensures all safety procedures are strictly adhered to including "Lock out and tag out" and fall protection is strictly enforced and disciplined.  
• Knowledgeable in the areas of 6S, SMED and lean manufacturing principles and supports the implementation of such programs
• Assists with the troubleshooting process, machinery and repair of equipment to minimize downtime.

Technical Manager requirements Include: 

• Four-year Bachelors’ Degree required, preferably in engineering or relevant field.
• Three years of management experience required. 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and TMM.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude required.
