Shift:

Pay:  

  • $20-22 BOE 

Education and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Job Duties: 

  • Assembles and configures network components and associated services. 

  • Sets up and maintains basic network operations, including assembly of network hardware, and provides assistance to the network administrator. 

  • Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. 

  • Upgrades network hardware and software components as required. 

  • Installs, upgrades, and configures network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and files services. 

  • Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources. 

  • Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed. 

  • Enables new users and establishes their security access levels. 

  • Orders, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots all laptop and desktop computers, printers and print on demand printers.   

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis. 

COMPUTER SKILLS: 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. 

REASONING ABILITY: 

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
