Requirements:

• Have 5 years of lean manufacturing on steel and or automotive industry preferred
• Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Must be adept in planning, organizing, analyzing, and collaborating with all levels of staff, management, venders, and customers
• BA degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee, organize and maintain the production operations and activity consistent with principles of lean manufacturing.
• Assist in setting long term and short-term goals and visions / strategy deployment for cost reduction, safety and other continuous improvement.
• Lead and direct the development and maintenance of safe operating practices to ensure proper implementation.
• Review production schedules and organize all functional activities to ensure that quality product is shipped on-schedule and according to organizational standards.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with production plan by scheduling/assigning personnel and appropriate resources.
• Strengthen the plant organization at all levels by developing current talent and adding new talent as necessary.
• Lead and instruct employees on lean manufacturing techniques and champion the continuous improvement culture through clear communication of job expectations, coaching, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
