Westaff is seeking a Marketing & Metadata Specialist for a local publishing company in Helena, MT!!
Schedule: Full Time
Pay: $19/hr DOE
Duties:
Marketing, Publicity, Advertising
- Publishing & book market research and website analytics
- Publishing brand development and management
- Manage association memberships
- Consult authors on best marketing practices; Collaborate with authors for publicity events both in-person and virtually; Assist authors in applying for awards and advertising opportunities
- Manage automated email system (constant contact) courses, award updates, etc.
- Create book promotion content for press releases and sell sheets
- Manage advertising budget, placement & design (print & online)
- Manage & create social media postings and promotions
- Manage newsletter contact list & quarterly content creation
- Manage book reviewer program
- Collaborate with sales team for book events and tradeshows
- Other administrative tasks as directed
Metadata Coordination
- Book & author database maintenance
- Book listing metadata deployment and tracking (Amazon, Faire, internal website, etc.)
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strategic and creative thinking
- Attention to detail
- PROFICIENCY in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Competence in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience with CRM Software (Constant Contact)
- Experience with Squarespace and/or WordPress preferred
- Social media savvy
- A passion for the ever-changing online landscape
- Basic HTML coding skills are a plus
- Fluency in these programs is a plus:
- Adobe Suites
- Amazon Vendor Services
- Data/Project Management Software
Education:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ experience in marketing, advertising, brand management, or skills-transferrable field required
- Two or more years’ experience in data management, analytics, and coordination required
- Publishing and/or book industry experience a plus!
- Customer service and administrative experience a plus!
