Description

The person in this position is a key member of the Council’s administrative team, providing daily assistance for our 12-person staff and coordinating the smooth and effective operation of the office. Responsibilities include: -Manage day-to-day office administration, including maintaining the company calendar and office files, shipping, and purchasing supplies and equipment necessary for effective operations -Respond to public inquiries by phone and email; manage regular mail deliveries -Serve as the Council’s point of contact for state of Vermont offices, maintenance crews, and outside vendors -Assist staff with meetings (both virtual and in-person), including arranging Zoom webinars and preparing meeting materials and presentations -Assist Communications team with posting video content to the website; updating email lists; correspondence; and social media postings -provide support for special events as needed 

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Required skills -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Three years of experience in a similar position -Attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving -Advanced word processing skills, proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite -Ability to work independently -Flexibility and talent for managing multiple projects -Knowledge of IT systems a plus -Familiarity with social media management software a plus -Commitment to the mission of cultivating and advancing the arts and creativity throughout Vermont
