Description

We are hiring an ACCOUNTANT/SECRETARY TREASURER for a small but busy office! We are looking for a long term person who wants to become part of the team! This position will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as other daily office duties as needed.

 Responsibilities and overview:

  • Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and some personnel
  • Management and reconciliation of 5 bank accounts
  • Balancing month end documents 
  • Conducting journal entries 
  • Issue 1099's
  • Oversee Investment portfolio 
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings 
  • Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
  • Multi state filings 
  • Process filing and payment for required SOS filings for 15 states 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditor

This is a small office and this position will be expected to assist others with daily office tasks such as cutting checks, payroll, and other clerical duties.  Company offers full benefits! 

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree strongly preferred
  • Previous experience of 5 years in accounting management 
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
