Radiation Detection and Instrumentation Company Seeking System Test Technician

Location: Meriden, CT
Pay Rate: $23.00-$30.00/ hour based on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
System Test Technician Responsibilities and Expectations
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair system assemblies
- Engage in electrical panel fabrication and wiring
- Utilize blueprints, schematics, and software to accurately assemble products
- Cut, strip, crimp, and solder cables
- Operate small production machines
- Test resistance, voltage, frequency, and current through the use of specialized equipment
- Visually inspect products for deficits
System Test Technician Essential Functions
- Ensure each assembly is compliant with quality standards
- Test preliminary and final stages of assembly
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
System Test Technician Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen (due to federal relations with the company)
- Familiarization with tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and computers
- At least one year post-high school education in electrical related field OR 3 years of electronics experience
- Understanding of electronic theory and familiarity with electronic components
System Test Technician Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with system assemblies such as: Mirion In-Vivo Systems, NDA Systems and Criticality Systems
- Experience with sub-components such as: pulsers, derandomizers, and other turn-key solutions
- High school or trade-school graduate preferred but will consider equivalent experience
- Experience in a nuclear or radiation plant setting
