Production Packer (Machine Operator)

1st Shift – 5:45am to 4:00pm   Mon-Thur


Otsego, Minnesota

Essential Functions:

  • Review the Job Packet documentation, Quality Standards, and examine defective parts
  • Adhering label, packing product in the right direction inside the carton, and seal the carton.
  • Properly and accurately maintain and fill out required paperwork.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections with various hand measurement tools. Dimensional measurements may require measurements in fractions, decimals, or metric.
  • Maintain accurate product counts.
  • Stack pallets properly while using the proper size skids for carton stacking.
  • Must have the knowledge and experience to correct basic problems when forming parts. This includes adjusting heats, recognizing different forming conditions such as webbing, cold roll, etc.

Job Requirements

Experience and Skills Required:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED; or
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Packers must have basic math, reading and comprehension skills.
  • Mathematics-Needs basic math skills. Must understand addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, in order to obtain reliable finished part counts. 
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret weight measurements on a scale.
  • Ability to read and write and speak English
