Pay: $19.00/hr.

Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday thru Friday

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and process purchase orders and ensuring purchased items and documentation complies with comply policy
Coordinate with internal departments regarding their supply needs Work with the Purchasing Manager to run the purchasing department
Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency
Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
Reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management
Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
Enter orders in company system
Create S.O.P.’s to comply with I.S.O. 9001
Review and reconcile invoices, resolution on discrepancies
Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
Conducting ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential vendors
Obtain and monitor applicable laws and regulations specifically concerning raw materials
Acquire knowledge of Altira Purchasing and information software programs
Maintain environmental, safety, and cleanliness requirements
Follow all safety SOP’s

Job Requirements:

3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or other administrative roles
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and high attention to detail
Knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory, and supply management systems
Must be reliable, punctual & able to follow instructions
Excellent command of the English language
