WESTAFF is actively recruiting in the Durham, NC area for Insurance/Claims Representative
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
INSURANCE CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Research/follow-up Medicaid Medical Claim insurance denials, requesting insurance write off adjustments when appropriate for manager approval identifying patterns of denials reporting them to supervisor, maintaining the Denials and No Response WQ’s in EPIC EMR
- Serve as back up and potentially assist with Provider Credentialing and Enrollment processes.
- Serve as an Administrator over clearinghouse and PHP EOB web portals
- Back up to payment posting
- Assist with processing refunds when necessary
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and other private third-party payors
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of denial codes
- Problem solving

- Excel Proficiency
- Ability to multitask
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a medical office setting-filing and processing medical claim filings.
