ATTENTION! Westaff is urgently seeking a Retail Store Manager for a well known furniture store in Manchester, CT! Weekends are a must!

Starting Pay: $45K annually, plus MONTHLY BONUSES!!!

Schedule: Must be able to work BOTH weekends, in addition to 3 week days! 

Hours: 9:45am-645pm or 12pm-8pm

Position Overview: 

Our Retail Store Manager is responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operations of the store to make sure that employees work together effectively to reach sales quotas. Retail Store Managers evaluate their employees and mentor them to improve their retail skills, addressing issues with staff and planning professional development opportunities. 

Our Retail Store Manger will be asked to do the following:

• Supervise, train and assist employees like Sales Representatives and Retail Store Clerks in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions.

• Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.

• Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store.

• Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.

• Implement cross-training of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times.

• Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.

• Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.

• Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.

The required skills and abilities of this role are as follows:

• At least 1 year of prior Management experience and overseeing personnel

• Proactive in-store planning skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Ability to navigate software programs with ease

• Computer proficient ( MS Office Suite) and Outlook
