Wallingford company is looking for an Accounting Clerk to do both AR and AP tasks!
Duties include collections, cash reporting/reconciliation, payables administration, and assisting all departments on customer service issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Daily posting of cash and sales activity
- Processing of RMA’s and credit memos
- Reconciliation of A/R, credit card accounts, and bank accounts
- Credit card processing and dispute resolution
- Collection calls to customers with past due balances
- Work closely with operating departments to insure systems are maintained and procedures are followed
- Proactively address payment problems through to resolution
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of cash and collections activity
- Input accounts payable data
- Processing check runs
- Resolve A/P issues, issue 1099, tax certificates, and W-9 forms
- Provide assistance with all accounting functions when needed
Essential skills required:
- Good communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work with other departments to resolve problems
- Prefer 3+ years of A/R & A/P experience
