Description

Wallingford company is looking for an Accounting Clerk to do both AR and AP tasks!

Duties include collections, cash reporting/reconciliation, payables administration, and assisting all departments on customer service issues. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Daily posting of cash and sales activity
  • Processing of RMA’s and credit memos
  • Reconciliation of A/R, credit card accounts, and bank accounts
  • Credit card processing and dispute resolution
  • Collection calls to customers with past due balances
  • Work closely with operating departments to insure systems are maintained and procedures are followed
  • Proactively address payment problems through to resolution
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of cash and collections activity
  • Input accounts payable data
  • Processing check runs
  • Resolve A/P issues, issue 1099, tax certificates, and W-9 forms
  • Provide assistance with all accounting functions when needed

Essential skills required:

  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with other departments to resolve problems
  • Prefer 3+ years of A/R & A/P experience
