* Review the product to be run and ensure all material is correct per the run sheet
* Weigh and tag tape before and after usage
* Verify the magnetism of the wire and overall dimension using a magnet and a micrometer per the run sheet
* Verify part numbers and set up machine per the run sheet
* Perform quality checks as required

Qualifications: 

*Ability to Use Micrometer, Weigh and Tag as well as verify parts and numbers, Lifting up to 45 lbs.
*Perform basic math

Job details:
• Perform Tower start-up, shut down and turnarounds
o Read and follow process sheet, work instructions and/or procedures to coat rolled fabric/film material
o Select rolls to be coated and carry/move to the pay-off, slide over shaft, inflate shaft and splice material to the leader
o Use various tools to move fabric/film material to/from Tower
o Follow internal environmental safety requirements for handling of coating formulation in work area
o Check materials and/or coating formulation using various calibrated and non-calibrated tools
o Recognize and correct processing problems
o Determine through process decision making whether to continue running/operations or to stop the run
o Properly complete required paperwork/forms
o Input shop floor control data into computer systems (QAD/GEORGE)
o Perform periodic maintenance, as required/requested on Tower, to include cleaning ovens
o Maintain 5S housekeeping/organization within work area
o Willing to accept and receive frequent direction and assistance from various levels of management

• Complete visual inspections on material as it is processed through Tower run/operations
o Recognize defects, use proper descriptions and codes
o Manually adjust various machine components to correct defects as they arise
o Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Tower Lead

Must have excellent attention to quality in regards to the visual and weight/thickness aspects of the material being used and/or produced. Responsible for the overall quality of the product being produced.

Essential Functions:
Demonstrates safety awareness and safe work practices
• Complies with Saint-Gobain safety rules, policies and procedures
• Ensures equipment and machinery are in correct and safe working order
• Safely operates powered and non-powered equipment and tools used in job functions
• Follow internal safety requirements for handling various powered equipment (up to 700 degrees) within work area

Follows work orders, process sheets, procedures, and /or other instructional documentation
• Read and interpret blueprints, to measure, cut, layout and assemble coated fabric material
• Fabricate miscellaneous parts using a variety of hand tools and measures conformance to drawings or layovers
• Layout and assemble various projects including pretension windows, antenna covers, and other products
• Complete visual inspections on material as it is processed
• Check materials using various calibrated and non-calibrated tools
• Meet productivity time and quality standards in area of responsibility

  • Receive all physical shipments
  • Ensure what is in packages (qty and item) match with that of the packing list
  • Inventory receiving verification of Part#, Qty, PO, Location (physical & computer), Signature and Date
