WESTAFF is actively recruiting in the Durham, NC area for Insurance/Claims Representative to start immediately
Pay: $19.00 hr.
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
INSURANCE CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Prepare, review and transmit medical claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
- Review and post insurance remittances into billing system
- Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
- Research and appeal denied claims, calling the insurance companies
- Checking medical insurance eligibility
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and other private third-party payors
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of denial codes
- Problem solving
- Customer service
- Attention to detail
- Excel Proficiency
- Ability to multitask
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a medical office setting preferred.
