Meriden company has an Immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk
This is a Full time, temp to perm position
Join our team! These would be your responsibilities as our Accounting Clerk: providing Accounts Receivable/Payable duties including, clerical, organizational and administrative services. This person will also maintain proper flow of invoices and support documents.
- Gathers, prepares and organizes billing data
- Monitors and reviews all billing imports for accuracy
- Accurately prepares and distributes invoices to customers (data entry)
- Review and submittal of freight payments to vendors
- Timely investigate and resolve customer inquiries
- Reviews, reconciles and applies receipts
- Electronic document filing
- Assist with telephone customer service coverage when needed
- Special projects assigned by Manager
Qualifications for the ideal Accounting Clerk:
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related experience
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and oral communication skills
- Ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications
