Machine Operator Assistant

Westaff is looking for 1st Shift Machine Operator Assistant in the Pompano Beach, FL area for IMMEDIATE HIRE!

Pay: $13.00/Hr.

Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - thru Friday (Occasional Saturday ) 

Machine Operator Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist banding machine operator to bundle tendons for shipping

• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping

• Unload truck or trailers and store material as needed

• Must adhere to Harris Rebar’s safety programs and standards

• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values

• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.

• Pushing a cart, receive printed order, and pick items from the inventory in the warehouse

• Seek items based on shelf number, size, quantity, etc listed on printed order form.

• Stage items picked in correct delivery area

• Label boxes in the warehouse with Numbers/Letters for easy access/view

• Lifts items weighing up to 5 lbs

• Uses glue/adhesive to form fabrics together in assembly line

• Stands for long periods of time assembling vests and jackets on top of a table

• Can bend, stoop, push, pull and lift fabrics weighing up to 25 lbs.

• Uses hands and fingers to perform above described functions

• Able to understand basic instruction in English
