Pressure Test Quality Control Operator is responsible for insuring that joined zones on tubular assemblies do not leak. Joints can be welded, brazed or mechanically joined where customers call out 100% leak-free product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Pressure Test Quality Control Operators read set-up documents to determine which clamping device and pressure settings to use.
• After basic set-up, Quality Control Operators manually clamp, plug and seal openings in tubular parts and move the part underwater to check for leaks from welded or brazed joints.
• Pressure Test Quality Control Operators may also operate automatic, multi-station equipment with pneumatic sealing areas to check multiple pieces at same time.
• Quality Control Operators must make sure that all seals are functioning properly and each part can be inspected accurately.
• Paperwork and other production documentation is required to be completed daily.
