Job title:  Construction/Fabrication Associate

Westaff is looking for a 2nd shift Construction/Fabrication Associate in the Bedford, NH area for IMMEDIATE HIRE!!

Shift: 2nd shift 2-10pm Mon-Fri

Payrate: $16.80/hour

Construction/Fabrication Associate Job Responsibilities:

Layout, cutting and assembly of coated fabric material to specific specifications. Performs and operates job functions with safety, quality and efficiency in mind and in accordance with specific process sheets and operational parameters. Must have excellent attention to quality in regards to the visual and weight/thickness aspects of the material being used and/or produced. Responsible for the overall quality of the product being produced.

Essential Functions:
Demonstrates safety awareness and safe work practices
• Complies with Saint-Gobain safety rules, policies and procedures
• Ensures equipment and machinery are in correct and safe working order
• Safely operates powered and non-powered equipment and tools used in job functions
• Follow internal safety requirements for handling various powered equipment (up to 700 degrees) within work area

Follows work orders, process sheets, procedures, and /or other instructional documentation
• Read and interpret blueprints, to measure, cut, layout and assemble coated fabric material
• Fabricate miscellaneous parts using a variety of hand tools and measures conformance to drawings or layovers
• Layout and assemble various projects including pretension windows, antenna covers, and other products
• Complete visual inspections on material as it is processed
• Check materials using various calibrated and non-calibrated tools
• Meet productivity time and quality standards in area of responsibility
• Willing to accept and receive frequent direction and assistance from various levels of management

1+ year of manufacturing experience REQUIRED!
Naturalized US Citizen a MUST due to this being a government contract!

Slitter/Rewind Operator Duties:

• Run a CATbridge machine with proficiency to build raw materials that go into making PC boards. MUST have experience on a CATbridge machine or another comparable machine. These are very large, complicated machines requiring skill.
• Computer skills a MUST(Oracle system)! 
• Reading work orders.
• Math skills/conversion skills a MUST!

Shift: 3rd shift 11pm-7am     Sun-Thurs

Extrusion Operator Job Requirements:

Set-up and operation of extrusion machine to manufacture insulated cable products.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Responsible to meet production standards by performing quality checks, in accordance with ISO procedures and following Process and Manufacturing specification sheets • Troubleshoot manufacturing process, meeting production schedules and customer deadlines • Measure extruded items for conformance to specifications • Communicate and work closely with fellow operators and supervisors to coordinate tasks, discuss production problems, and exchange information to produce quality products • Observes safety procedures and uses equipment and materials properly • Maintain cleanliness of work area and machines, including utilizing Jet Printers to print cables according to specifications • Subscribes to and practices 5S principles, procedures, and guidelines • Work a full time shift schedule with regular attendance and ability to work overtime as needed

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities: • Attention to detail is required in machine operation to minimizing scrap. • Ability to work with a variety of cable and wire products • Familiarity with frequent change-overs and handling of different compounds and wires in order to produce made to order and high quality products • Possess reading and comprehension skills to read, follow and understand written and verbal procedures and instructions in English, including manufacturing specifications • Log written data as required in legible format • Good math skills and above average mechanical aptitude necessary. • Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
