2nd Shift Assembler

2nd shift hours 4:30PM to 2AM Monday through Thursday

Job training occurs on first shift for one to two weeks before moving to 2nd shift. 

JOB TITLE: Wheel chock Assembler/disassembler WORKING HOURS: 4:30pm to 3:00am Monday thru Thursday PAY RATE: $14.18/hr. ASSIGNMENT DURATION: approximately 10 weeks Summary: General assembly of products under direct supervision. 

Responsible for identifying product defects, disassembly of defective parts, reassembly with replacement parts, and inspection and testing of product before packaging and labeling for shipment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify defects of incoming product. Disassemble defective product. Reassemble with replacement parts. Inspect and test product. Package and label product for shipment Operate forklift in a safe manner and avoid damaging freight while handling. Accurately complete all paperwork. Perform additional duties as deemed necessary. Work safely and maintain a clean work area.

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity using hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach and assemble efficiently. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions. To multi-task and meet deadlines. Must pass ATP forklift training course Basic math, comprehension, and reading skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively with others. Ability to read a rule and a digital calipers. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions; including extreme heat and cold.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications/engineering drawings. Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures. Perform tack welding as required. Record applicable inspection/test results.
