• Advise purchasing of product returns for credit and any discrepancies in shipments for Purchase Orders.
• Providing configuration support prior to shipment
• Call couriers for pickup as needed, i.e. Hot Shot Delivery, FedEx, DHL, UPS, Freight Lines, etc.
• Ensure all inbound material is promptly and correctly routed, i.e. inbound purchases for orders vs. stock, inbound repairs, parts that should be routed to EPG, office materials.
• Assist in handling of customer sales returns.  Inspect returned items for condition and advise if credit can be issued.
• Must support after hours emergency calls as needed
• Run mail through postage and drop outgoing mail in the mailbox on a daily basis
• Perform cycle counts on a routine basis as directed by management
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to inventory
• Assist with annual physical inventory counts
• Report inventory discrepancies to management for review and / or adjustment.
• Identify and correct any unsafe conditions in the work environment

Westaff is hiring for a 1st shift Picker/Packer in Manchester, CT!

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay: $16.00 an hour  

Picker/Packer Responsibilities: 

• Assist with filling and/or packaging orders in a warehouse setting. Help maintain the warehouse and inventory of products and/or customer supplied materials

• Pick or package a variety of printed materials or related items using a variety of packing procedures and techniques.

• Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work. Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.

• Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages, putting manuals into binders, and handling boxes for final product. Ensure accurate
  shipping information is attached and packages are shipped according to specified schedule.
• Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets and/or in containers, bins, and bulk storage.

• Count and sort various product items.

• May feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels or other in-process product to and from the equipment in the area
  assigned.

• Load and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. May load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding
  to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.

Qualifications for Picker/Packer:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• 1 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment is nice to have

• Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.

• Previous warehouse and PIT experience 

• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.

Payrate: 23.65/hr. 

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Maintaining surface finish of diameters at very close micro-finish
• Responsible for maintaining established production levels for all operations performed
• Responsible for remaking and/or reworking product that does not meet required specifications
• Will be required to input basic data entries using internal computer program on daily basis

Machine Operator Requirements:

• Prepares and types correspondence, documents, forms, letters, transcripts, invoices, vouchers, records, payrolls, title searches, judgments, reports, index cards, time cards, and similar materials.

• Collects fees and accounts for money received.
