Administrative Assistant opening in Meriden, CT through Westaff
Full Time temp to permanent opportunity!
Pay rate: $15-$16hr
***PLEASE READ: To be considered, you must have strong MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and type 50 wpm, as well as 3-5 years related office experience.
The Administrative Assistant provides both clerical and administrative support and will play a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of business.
Duties of the Administrative Assistant role:
Audio and copy typing
Dealing with telephone and email inquiries
Creating and maintaining filing systems
Arranging meetings and appointments and organizing travel for staff.
Managing and maintaining budgets, as well as invoicing
Answering calls and addressing requests
Sorting and distributing incoming mail
Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
Booking rooms and conference facilities
Using content management systems to maintain and update websites and internal databases
Attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes
The Administrative Assistant candidate must have:
A Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Administrative Assistant
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Be able to type a minimum of 50 WPM
Be able to use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
Associates Degree strongly preferred
