Westaff is immediately hiring an Inside Sales Engineer for a great company in Bristol!

Pay: Depends on Experience 

The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible to serve as a negotiator between our client and our current/perspective customers to increase customer profits and revenue using their specialized technical training. 

In addition, this person will work collaboratively with our Regional Sales Representatives as a Technical Advisor. 

This position must be skilled in all areas of product that can be produced by our internal manufacturing team and/or suppliers to identify and provide reliable solutions for all commercial and technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction.

The Inside Sales Engineer will: 

  • Provide timely & accurate responses to Customer Inquires regarding current or new product development.
  • Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
  • Ensure process for quotation, receipt of order, order entry, shipment and delivery of order.
  • Work with Manufacturing & Quality Teams in providing customer with optima price and to ensure product can be manufactured.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in executing and achieving their Territory and Market Business Plans.
  • Proficient as a Spring Design Engineer 
  • Extensive Interaction with customers, internal team, Sales Representatives and Trade Show Activities.
  • Provide detailed presentation of inquiries, approved status of inquiries and financial impact.


  • Provide status of ongoing product and future product quotations.
  • Maintain professional business relationships with target or assigned accounts.
  • Facilitate problem investigation and resolution, especially as these relate to continual improvement.
  • Capable of low to moderate travel.


  • Moderate noise heat, odor and fumes
  • Follow all department and plant-wide PPE and Safety rules on the shop floor



Job Requirements

This role REQUIRES an AA/BS in Engineering or equivalent successful experience in Stampings, Precision Springs and Wire Forming Industry

The Inside Sales Engineer position requires analytical problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication. 

Experience with 3-5 years in Engineering or Customer Service. 

Proficient with Blue Prints, Mechanical CAD Software languages and proven Project Management Skills.
