Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Full Charge Bookkeeping certification preferred (experience may be considered)
  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • Must be proficient with computers, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting/bookkeeping theories, principles, practices, and terminology                   
  • Ability to collect, maintain and organize accounting data, interpret its significance, and prepare accurate financial reports
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with Non-profits preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR and AED certifications within 60 days of employment
  • A complete background check may be required

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, evening or weekend as necessary.

Summary of Work:  The Full Charge Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position handles various aspects of accounting for the organization.  As such, s/he has a direct responsibility for maintaining general ledger accounts, administering and processing Accounts Receivable, administering all aspects of billing/collections, preparing journal entries and posting to the General Ledger, cash accounting including receipts and bank reconciliation, and producing various accounting and financial reports.  This position also requires the completion of various administrative duties as assigned.
