Westaff is recruiting for a client in Bristol, CT for an:
Part Time HR Assistant
15 to 20 hours per week
Pay is based on experience, approximately $18-$23/hr

Assist with the coordinating and the administration of various aspects of the organization’s compensation and benefit, recruitment, orientation, payroll and employee relations programs
Assist with the staff recruitment and selection process (placing ads, interviewing, processing applications, contacting managers, provide feedback regarding the candidates, handling selection process tasks)
Communicating with staffing agencies on job openings and staffing needs Processing of all onboarding paperwork
Maintenance of accurate records for individual employees regarding pay rates, shift details, promotions, transfers, sick leave, etc. Update employee information/spread sheets.
Coordinating and attending job fairs/recruitment events.
Attendance tracking and corresponding disciplinary action
Other Administrative duties, such as handling incoming phone calls, ordering office supplies, and various tasks and projects as may be assigned
Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an Human Resources Assistant, or experience in a similar role, with emphasis on Recruiting
Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience in HR, such as screening applicants, recruiting, employee orientation, posting jobs, on boarding new hires, workers compensation, benefits and compensation, etc. are strongly preferred
Must have excellent Administrative skills
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must have exemplary verbal and written communications skills
