JOB TITLE:                           Development Services Coordinator

SALARY:                               $15 - $16 (DOE)

CLOSING DATE:                 9/30/2018

SHIFTS:                                34 – 40 hours/week (Mon – Fri)

THE POSITION:

 

The Development Services Coordinator is an active member of the Florence Crittenton (FC) Development team, assisting with the execution of the overall resource development strategy of FC.  The responsibilities of the Development Services Coordinator include the coordination of daily activities associated with Development-related special events; managing in-kind donations; and secondary data entry within the FC Development database.

 

This position is a combination of detail-oriented tasks, as well as donor relationship management. The successful candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, enthusiastic energy, strong attention to detail and organization, and represent Florence Crittenton in the community.

 

He/she is responsible for planning for and soliciting auction and raffle donations, managing event timelines and coordination of facilities, rentals, etc; recruitment & management of event volunteers. In addition, the Events & In-Kind Coordinator works with the Development team to assess the effectiveness of all events and developing concepts for new potential events.

  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with individuals and in groups
  • Experience in a non-profit organization with special attention to development and fundraising

  • Knowledge and skilled application of word processing and advanced computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferable knowledge of InDesign and Adobe Suite
  • Demonstrated track record of success in event management. 
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory background check and a health statement are required for all employees at Florence Crittenton. 

 

 

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in office or development-related work; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years of experience in office or development-related work.  Knowledge of events is preferred, but not required.

 

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Events & Development Services Coordinator to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties associated with this job, the Coordinator must be able to:
  • exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body;
  • remain in a stationary position (sit, stand, etc.) for extended periods of time;
  • Position self (stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, climb, balance etc.) for extended periods of time;
  • identify, recognize, react and respond to all emergencies;
  • and perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers;
  • Work evenings and weekends when required by work
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
