1st Shift Hours

Pay will be determined on experience

Essential Duties:

  • Establish long-term, ongoing relationships. Maintain trust and integrity between customers, management, and support staff
  • Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective and professional manner consistent with current customer base
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts, leading to sales
  • Forecast anticipated sales, profitability and growth for each account
  • Generate quotations; continuous follow-up with present and potential accounts. Provide feedback of quote status
  • Create part numbers and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Create and maintain routers to ensure product complies with customer needs
  • Generate work orders
  • Resolve problems with the products and services
  • Manage projects including new customer product launches
  • Provide support for Outside Sales Representative and all other sales staff
  • Assist in purchasing materials
  • Assist in programming, if needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Good computer skills including experience working with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Marketing and market planning knowledge preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of steel market industries preferred
  • Initiating sales proposals to industry suppliers that comply with established guidelines and pricing policies
  • Maintaining levels of sales to generate adequate revenue
  • Maintaining up-to-date working knowledge of the industry products and services
