THE POSITION:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the Florence Crittenton Home and Services (FCHS) facility(s). The Maintenance Worker will assess and respond to all repair and maintenance needs and perform custodial tasks associated with maintaining the health and safety of FCHS. The Maintenance Worker is under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager and may receive direction from the Lead Maintenance Worker. The Maintenance Worker may assist with coordinating projects with employees, but exercises no supervisory authority.

 

THE PERSON:

  • Experience in all aspects of home/facility maintenance including basic building maintenance and repair, grounds maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and small appliance repair
  • Able to bend and lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in custodial and home/facility maintenance (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
  • Satisfactory background check; including TB test and Health Statement requirement.

  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Exercise initiative

  • Team player
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook)
