Production Planner Job Summary:
Supports production documentation, schedules, work orders, reporting and systems to ensure product is flowing to meet customer delivery requests.
Production Planner Duties:
Manages production requirements through ERP system job suggestion queue for various departments
Maintains training and scheduling spreadsheets for cells, product lines and customers
Maintains status tracking application (dBase) and support programming of enhancements
Analyzes custom forecasts and stocking programs to insure that orders are released and completed to support demand
Works closely with procurement to insure that signals are sent to trigger raw material delivery to support production schedule
Provides status updates to Inside Sales and relates changes in priorities to manufacturing
Supports project needs for data mining for Epicor
Support metrics development and reporting for departmental and company dashboards
Ensure that training records are up to date for all mandatory training for this position
Job requirements for Production Planner:
Experience in Production Planning/Scheduling from a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college OR technical school OR six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Familiarity with DRP Systems, Proficient with Excel, and working knowledge of Access Dbase.
