Schedule:Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Off Sundays and Tuesdays
Position Summary:
Westaff is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dispatcher to support a leading logistics operation. This role serves as the main point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and efficient coordination of transportation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors regarding shipment details and timing
- Monitor delivery status and adjust routes or schedules as needed
- Handle incoming calls and resolve customer inquiries or service issues
- Track and document dispatch activity, including routes, delays, and delivery updates
- Troubleshoot delivery issues and escalate when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and dispatch logs
Qualifications:
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with computers and phone systems
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
