Westaff is Hiring for an Assistant Apstar Rotary Die Cutter in Ellington, CT!

Shift: 7am – 3:30pm, occasional overtime 

Pay Rate: $19 an hour, depending on experience 

 

Position Summary:

The Assistant Operator will work alongside the lead operator to set up, operate, and maintain an Apstar rotary die cutter. This position ensures that all products are produced safely, efficiently, and according to quality specifications.

 

Assistant Operator Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead operator in the setup and operation of the Apstar rotary die cutter.

• Load, position, and feed sheets into the machine accurately.

• Monitor production runs to maintain quality and minimize waste.

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the machine.

• Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

• Assist with material handling, stacking, and palletizing finished products.

• Support quick and efficient changeovers between jobs.

 

Assistant Operator Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a corrugated packaging or printing environment preferred.

• Experience working in manufacturing or production.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.
