Westaff is Seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Wallingford, CT for Aerospace Manufacturer

Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 6:00AM-3:30PM

Friday, 6:00AM-10:00AM (for the time being) *Hours of operation may change dependent upon work load

Pay: $20-23/hour

Compare schedule information from ERP System (JobBoss) to what’s in FGI/WIP to plan accordingly for shipping due dates
Monitor forward looking days, weeks, month for possible releases and shortages based on FGI
Determine and complete daily ship activities
Double check final quantities when transferring parts into stock
Transfer parts to ship travelers Pick parts off ERP
Create the necessary paperwork for shipping whether domestic or international according to customer requirements; packing list, invoice, certification of conformance, commercial invoices for customs, part marking labels, barcodes
Pull parts from stock for final shipping count Package & box according to proper part marking/packaging specifications
Creating shipping labels on FedEx/UPS/DHL/Customer specific, arranging pickups Verifying FGI levels vs ship quantities to ship complete or partials
Interact with Quality Department and/or Manager to ensure proper release activities are completed (QRM’s, Solumina, etc)
Log all applicable information (tracking, qty, customer, etc) in ERP System (JobBoss) and/or other spreadsheets
Conduct Finished Goods Inventory as necessary

3+ years prior shipping & receiving at a higher level, must pay close attention to detail of documentation, be very comfortable with excellent computer skills to work in customer portals (such as GE, Pratt, Honeywell, etc).
Previous experience shipping and receiving for aerospace manufacturer
Be able to punch in/out of ship traveler
Must be able to read and write Englis
Must have U.S. Citizenship (per Aerospace policies)
