Manufacturer in Wallingford, CT Looking for Fine Solderer!
The Solderer will be responsible for producing components by fine surface mount soldering using a microscope.
Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $17-21/hr based on experience
Fine Soldering Associate Responsibilities:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, engineering drawings and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Produce cables using various hand-crimp tools.
- Assemble components using various adhesives and epoxies.
Fine Solderer Requirements:
- Experience in fine soldering under a microscope
- This position involves hand soldering of surface mount components and fine wires in various applications other than circuit boards
- Applicants must have strong surface mount soldering skills.
- Experience with cable harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, and use of basic electrical test equipment is a plus.
- Ability to solder one or more of the following:
- Surface mount components with 0.4 mm pitch spacing
- 0201 discrete package sized components.
- Fine wires as small as 34 AWG and Magnet Wire
