Job Opening: AP/AR Admin Clerk
Description
Accounting Clerk needed for fast paced insurance agency in Alexandria, LA.
Pay: $16 or more depending on experience
Hours: M – F 8 am to 5 pm
Accounting Duties:
Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
Assist Agents with statements and payment processing.
Process invoices and expense reports as assigned.
Prepare daily and monthly production and financial reports.
Support the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial documents.
Support the preparation of external compliance reports.
Assist in year-end audits and prepare necessary documentation. Administrative
Duties:
Answer phones and manage office correspondence.
Schedule appointments and manage calendars for executive team members.
Maintain filing systems and organize company documents.
Assist with payroll processing and HR-related tasks.
Help with inventory management and office supply ordering.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
5 – 10 years previous experience in accounting or administrative roles is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, AIM).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to prioritize effectively.
